Defibrillator now in Molash! Do you know how to use it?

Good news.

A defibrillator has been purchased by Molash PC and is located in the porch of the village hall, Pound Lane. This defib is available for anyone to use.

Do you know what a defibrillator is? Or how to use it?

If the answer to either question is “no” then you should attend a training session that can be arranged by Molash PC. The knowledge could save a life, including yours.

A training session was arranged for 16th March 2017 but was very poorly attended. Very disappointing that very few turned up to learn about how to give CPR and use the defibrillator. Craig from Challock provided an excellent training  session and an opportunity to practise using “dummies”. Craig is the only Community First Responder in the area and has to cover Challock, Molash and Wye entirely on a voluntary basis. The Ambulance Service is stretched to the limit. What does this mean to any person suffering cardiac arrest? It means that unless that person is treated by CPR/defibrillator within 8 minutes then their chance of survival is virtually zero. A sobering thought.

Learn how to help that person survive – you know it makes sense!
