The minutes of the last meeting were read and agreed.

2. Matters arising

Village Green Parking – Rachel Fawson has a letter from the Agriculutral Mortgage Company stating that the piece of land to be transferred is not subject to a charge. She will give the letter to the PC for forwarding to the Land Registry to complete the transfer. The signs are to be ordered to stop unauthorised parking.

Flooding & Roads – Knockwood Lane – The work has been re-scheduled due to another job overrunning.

Defibrillator – Installation is nearly complete. Secam are to be informed when it is fully commissioned. Training will be arranged for interested locals. Signs as to it’s location to be posted, possibly in the pub and at the church.

3. Planning

Foodari – Many objections were lodged on the planning portal, and only one supporting comment. The matter is to be referred to the Planning Committee for decision (probably in September) where there will be the opportunity to speak and air the views of local residents. There is a time restriction on this, so the most important facts are to be decided and a prepared script timed. Councillors will communicate by email to compose the representation.

4. Correspondence

Letters sent to Mr Head and Mr Turner, requesting that their hedges be cut back off the highway and/or footpath.
Letter to Geoff Court accepting his offer to stand as a new member of MPC
Email from Geoff Jenkins resigning from MPC
Form and guidance notes for financial support for smaller authorities (turnover of less than £25,000) to enable work towards compliance with the mandatory Transparency Code to be performed.

5. Any other Business

Hedge cutting to clear sight lines and footpaths are proceeding as requested of various landowners.
The parish finances have now been taken in house and are being attended to by the PC.
Sewerage charges received from ABC for ex council properties –                                                                                                                                       Copies of invoices from contractors have been received for the works done – it needs to be considered if they have been fairly apportioned.  ABC are to be contacted to establish an opening electricity meter reading for the Church Lane facility.
The Forester – SW and PC went to Challock PC meeting to discuss the funding of the joint parish magazine. A sub-committee is to be set up, consisting of members of both parish councils.

The meeting closed at 9.10 pm
